Educational costs

Whether you are a French or international student, the State covers the majority of tuition fees for courses taken at public higher education institutions.
For CampusArt, this applies to public higher education institutions specialising in art, applied arts and architecture, as well as universities.

Students enrolled at a public higher education institution for art and design or at a public national higher school of architecture (under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture) are not subject to the differentiated tuition fees.

The annual tuition fees, set for all public institutions, amount to approximately:

Universities:

  • Bachelor’s degree: 178 euros for students from the European Economic Area and Switzerland; 2,902 euros for international students from outside the European Economic Area. Fee waivers may be available via CampusArt, following submission of an application on CampusArt during the online eligibility phase
  • Master’s degree: €255 for students from the European Economic Area and Switzerland, €3,950 for international students from outside the European Economic Area. Fee waivers may be available via CampusArt, following submission of an application on CampusArt during the online eligibility phase
  • PhD: €398

Exemptions are possible for students subject to differentiated fees. They can be offered by:

  • host institutions, in accordance with their pre-defined strategy for attracting students. The exemptions offered by these institutions may be total or partial;
  • diplomatic posts in terms of their budgetary allocation, their policy towards high-calibre candidates, and their strategy for academic cooperation.

Public Higher Schools of Art and Design and Public National Higher Schools of Architecture:

  • National Diploma in Art (DNA) – Bachelor’s degree level: from 350 euros for students at state art colleges
  • Diplôme d’Études en Architecture (DEEA) – Bachelor’s degree: from 370 euros for students at state-funded architecture schools
  • National Higher Diploma in Visual Arts (DNSEP) – Master’s level: from 400 euros for students at state art colleges
  • State Diploma in Architecture (DEA) – Master’s degree: from 512 euros for students at state-funded architecture schools

To these amounts can be added additional fees for specific services.

The cost of enrollment in private institutions is significantly higher (usually from 3,000 to 20,000 euros per year).
